Nr Miecurea Ciuc,
Harghita county, Romania
In association with Pogany Havas Microregion Association
Rural’est is a group of young researchers which has been operating since 2007, following a one day international seminar on the notion of Transition. Since this first session, the group has also organized meetings in France (in 2008, and forthcoming in October 2011), Poland (2009) and Romania (2009, 2010) to facilitate exchange between researchers from east and west Europe, and also between different actors in anticipation of the role of the European Rural Network, notably in Romania.
For these different events (presented on the website www.ruralest.eu), we have benefited in the past from financial support from different partners : The Mission for International Relations from INRA, The French Embassy in Poland, the minister of research with ACCES and PARCECO, the French Society of Rural Economics, the EFNCP (European Forum on Nature Conservation and Pastoralism) and our respective laboratories.
