Blue Guide Romania
Hot news - it’s being reissued
A 500-page guide to Romania,
concentrating on its history and culture including phenomenal buildings such as the painted churches of Bucovina, the wooden churches of Maramureş and the fairy-tale kirchenbűrgen of Transylvania
Paperback, with maps and line drawings, published by A&C Black in 2000
ISBN 0 7136 4096 0
The first edition is out of print. Somerset Books of Budapest which now owns the Blue Guides title has just announced plans to reissue the guide on a print on demand basis. It will only be available through this company and won’t be updated, but I guess that’s better than nothing!
